About this course

Mechatronics and robotic systems is the engineering discipline that brings together mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science to design, build, and control automated and intelligent machines. Robots and mechatronic systems are no longer confined to science fiction or factory floors; they are increasingly present in surgery, logistics, agriculture, construction, exploration, and consumer products. Engineering these systems requires the ability to design mechanical structures that can move and bear loads, to build and program the electronic control systems that make them function, and to write the software that enables them to sense their environment and respond to it intelligently.

At the University of Liverpool, this four-year full-time programme includes a year abroad, during which you will study at one of the university's international partner institutions, taking a mixture of culture and discipline-related modules.
