Accounting and finance provides the technical foundations for understanding how organisations measure and manage their financial performance. At Teesside University, this three-year full-time degree introduces you to the essential concepts and practices of both disciplines. You will build knowledge of financial accounting, from the principles of bookkeeping and accounting adjustments through to the preparation of financial statements for different types of organisation. Management accounting, corporate finance, and financial analysis feature as the degree progresses, deepening your technical expertise and your capacity for financial judgement.

The programme also includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and a work placement, giving you extensive professional and international experience alongside your academic study.
