Accounting and statistics may seem like two separate technical disciplines, but they address a common underlying need: making sound decisions in the face of incomplete or uncertain information. At the University of Glasgow, this four-year full-time degree develops your expertise in both disciplines to a high level. You will study financial and management accounting, auditing, and the regulatory frameworks within which accounting operates, alongside the core areas of statistical theory including probability, estimation, hypothesis testing, regression, and multivariate analysis. As both subjects become increasingly data-driven, the integration of these two disciplines is particularly well-timed.
