Adult Nursing

Adult nursing is one of the most significant professions in the health service, concerned with the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care for adults across the full range of health conditions. At Wrexham University, the BSc in Adult Nursing is a three-year full-time degree that prepares you for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the UK's nursing regulator. You will combine academic study of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and nursing theory with substantial clinical practice placements across a range of settings, developing both your theoretical knowledge and your hands-on nursing competence. The programme is taught in Wales, where NHS Wales has specific workforce needs, and eligible students may be entitled to NHS bursary support that covers tuition fees and provides a non-repayable contribution to living costs in exchange for a commitment to work in Wales for two years following registration.

Registered Adult Nurses work in every area of the NHS and independent healthcare sector.
