Aerospace Engineering

This course prepares you for diverse roles in aerospace research and development, manufacturing, product design, testing, modelling, simulating and other commercial engineering enterprises. You’ll engage in professional practice from day one, working on industry-led projects and addressing complex aerospace problems.

The MEng degree will consolidate your knowledge and research skills in specialist areas of aerospace engineering, such as space transport systems, hypersonic flight and aerothermodynamics; you will also broaden your knowledge in engineering systems and emerging technology, whilst enhancing your design, project management and employability skills with a dedicated industrial design project (in collaboration with local employers). Moreover, you will have the opportunity to tailor your curriculum, knowledge and expertise towards other related engineering areas, through a selection of elective modules in topics such as advanced computational methods, artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems, and process improvement. this will give you advanced technical and professional skills to increase your future job prospects in the aerospace and other related engineering sectors.
