About this course
Embark on a career as a biomedical scientist, with options for a placement or year abroad. The MSci Applied Biomedical Science (NHS placement) is a five-year degree, with a year on placement in the NHS. You’ll gain the practical skills, knowledge and lab experience needed to work in labs and hospitals across the NHS and private sector.
By studying an integrated course, you’ll start at undergraduate level and graduate with a Masters-level qualification. The MSci Applied Biomedical Science (NHS placement) gives you key knowledge and modern strategies to diagnose and treat the human immune system, pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria, haematology and blood transfusion, cell pathology and mechanisms or neurological diseases.
