About this course

Biomedical Science is a discipline that applies the tools and methods of biology and chemistry to understanding the human body in health and disease. It encompasses a wide range of specialisms including haematology, clinical biochemistry, medical microbiology, immunology, and cellular pathology, all of which contribute to the diagnostic processes that underpin clinical medicine. Biomedical scientists work at the interface of laboratory science and healthcare, and their work is fundamental to the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions ranging from infection and cancer to metabolic disorders and genetic disease.

At the University of Gloucestershire, this three-year, full-time programme is delivered through an active and engaging learning environment.
