Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Biomedical Scientist is a common pathway for those working in NHS laboratories, typically following a period of accredited training and portfolio completion. Many graduates also continue to postgraduate study in biomedical science, molecular biology, clinical research, medicine or a related health science field.
