From the cameras and microphones capturing a live event to the signal processing, encoding and transmission systems that deliver content to screens around the world, broadcast engineers design, operate and maintain the technical infrastructure of modern media. The field has grown considerably more complex as the industry has shifted from analogue to digital, and as live and on-demand content now reaches audiences across an expanding range of devices and platforms.

At Ravensbourne University London, this three-year full-time programme gives you a grounded understanding of both the principles and the practice of broadcasting. You will study the fundamentals of audio and video signal processing, the architecture of production and transmission systems, network infrastructure, and the technical standards that govern broadcast and digital media.
