About this course

Business analysis, technology and marketing form a particularly powerful combination at a time when almost every commercial decision is shaped by data and digital tools. This four-year full-time degree at the University of Strathclyde weaves all three disciplines into a single coherent programme, preparing you to understand not just what is happening in markets but why it is happening and how technology can be used to act on it effectively. A year abroad is built into the programme, giving you the chance to study in another country and bring an international perspective to your commercial thinking.

You will develop skills in gathering and interpreting business data, modelling processes and using digital tools to support strategic decision-making. The marketing strand teaches you how organisations build and maintain relationships with customers, how brands are positioned, and how campaigns are planned and evaluated across traditional and digital channels. The technology component grounds you in the systems and platforms that underpin modern business, from data analytics tools to the information architectures that organisations rely on.

Throughout the programme you will work on real-world problems, applying theory to practical challenges in the way that Strathclyde degrees are known for. Entry to this programme typically requires around 184 tariff points.

Graduates are well placed for careers in marketing analytics, digital strategy, management consulting, product management and business intelligence, as well as broader roles in commercial functions where data literacy and marketing understanding are increasingly expected. Many go on to professional qualifications in marketing or data, and the combination of business and technology skills opens doors across sectors including financial services, retail, technology firms and the public sector.
