About this course

Business in a digital world is a degree that recognises how profoundly digital technology has transformed what it means to run an organisation, reach customers, manage operations and make decisions. Traditional business education has been supplemented everywhere by the need to understand data analytics, digital marketing, e-commerce, technology strategy and the new business models that digital platforms have made possible. This programme at BPP University develops your understanding of business management while embedding digital literacy as a core competency throughout.

You will study the fundamental disciplines of business, including strategy, marketing, finance, operations and management, alongside the digital dimensions that now permeate all of them: how data is collected and used to drive decisions, how digital channels are managed to reach and retain customers, how technology transforms supply chains and operations and how digital business models differ from traditional ones. BPP's approach emphasises the practical application of management knowledge, developing the decision-making, strategic thinking and leadership capability that employers look for in graduate management recruits. The programme is designed to prepare you for the realities of management in organisations where digital technology is not a separate concern but woven into everything.

Graduates pursue management careers across every sector of the economy, with the digital dimension of the degree making them particularly relevant to technology companies, e-commerce businesses, digital agencies, financial services organisations and any business where digital channels, data or technology strategy are central to operations. Management trainee programmes, marketing roles, business analyst positions and general management in smaller organisations are common entry points. Some graduates go on to postgraduate study in business, digital marketing, data analytics or a related field to deepen their expertise.

Highly recommend
Coming here has changed how I think. The best part: the accounting and finance streams are taught by practitioners, not just academics. If I'm honest, accommodation allocation was stressful in the first year. On the city β€” good transport li…

Genuinely worthwhile
This is the perfect place to study this subject. The best part: the teaching staff are genuinely world-class and accessible. If I'm honest, a few modules feel under-resourced compared to the flagship ones. On the city β€” local cost of living…
