Business Management with Psychology
Business management with psychology is a degree that helps you understand how organisations operate and how people think, behave, and work together within them. Business management provides the frameworks for understanding strategy, finance, marketing, operations, and how organisations respond to technological change, evolving markets, and global challenges. Psychology adds the crucial human dimension: why people make the decisions they do, how teams and cultures develop, how behaviour can be influenced, and how the wellbeing of people at work affects organisational outcomes.
At Sheffield Hallam University, this three-year full-time BA (Hons) programme develops your commercial and organisational knowledge alongside psychological understanding, exploring how psychology can be applied to influence behaviour and improve outcomes in business contexts. You will study core business subjects alongside social psychology, occupational psychology, motivation, leadership, and the psychological dimensions of consumer behaviour and organisational change. The programme includes an integrated foundation year for students who wish to build their academic and business foundations, and a sandwich year with a work placement that gives you direct professional experience.
Entry typically requires around 88 UCAS tariff points.
Graduates work in management, human resources, organisational development, marketing, sales, consultancy, and a wide range of roles in which understanding both commercial strategy and human behaviour is valued. The combination is particularly well suited to careers in people management, change management, consumer insight, and talent development. Many graduates continue to postgraduate study in business, psychology, or human resource management.
