About this course

You'll be given a strong grounding in the core disciplines of structures, water engineering and geotechnics. The second half of the course focuses on more specialised and advanced structural engineering modules. The second half of the course focuses on more specialised and advanced structural engineering modules. Our series of design projects allows you to explore both concept and detailed design and develop capability in tackling real-world built-environment problems to address the complex challenges of engineering a low-carbon future. You will be taught by world-leading researchers in specialist areas of civil and structural engineering, associated with challenges of infrastructure development, resilience and management in the face of climate change and natural disasters.

Our school delivers unique research-led specialist modules and research projects. As a large school, we offer a diverse selection of specialist research- and industry-led modules. This allows you to shape your development by selecting subjects that match your interests, and work alongside specialist academics in individual project work.
