About this course

Our civil engineering courses are internationally recognised for combining excellent academic studies and practical skills with real-world industry experience. BEng (Hons) or MEng — 2026 entry Civil Engineering Our BEng or MEng Civil Engineering degrees focus on the principles, design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects including buildings, bridges, roads and water supply systems which shape and define the world we live in. You'll get to learn in internationally recognised facilities and research centres, have the opportunity to go on placement at a top company from industry, and Surrey has an excellent track record of civil engineering graduate employment.

We’re preparing you for the future by integrating AI into every course, building digital skills, confidence and creativity that employers value in tomorrow’s workplace. Of our sustainability, civil and environmental engineering graduates are in employment or further study within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes 2025, HESA).
