Civil Engineering with a Foundation Year

The foundation year is designed to prepare students whose prior qualifications may not have included the full range of science and mathematics at A-level, giving you the grounding to succeed at degree level. As you move through the main programme, you will study structural analysis, geotechnics, fluid mechanics, materials science, surveying, and environmental engineering, developing the technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities that civil engineers apply in practice.
