At Nottingham, this three-year full-time programme includes a foundation year, providing an extended route into the degree that builds the mathematical and computational foundations needed for degree-level study. This route is particularly well suited to students who want additional preparation before engaging with the full depth of a computer science degree. Across the programme you will develop fluency in programming, build your understanding of algorithms and complexity, study computer systems and architecture, engage with software engineering principles and explore specialist areas that reflect the breadth of the field. Computer science graduates are among the most employable of any discipline. Software development and engineering, data science and machine learning, cybersecurity, systems architecture, artificial intelligence, product management and technical consulting are all common career paths.
