About this course

Computing is the discipline that underpins virtually every aspect of modern life, from the software on your phone to the systems that run hospitals, banks, and online services. At its core, computing is about solving problems: understanding what a problem requires, designing a system or algorithm to address it, and implementing that solution in code. It draws on mathematics, logic, and engineering, and it is simultaneously theoretical and intensely practical.

At Arden University, this three-year full-time programme develops your foundational knowledge in programming, systems architecture, data management, software engineering, and computing theory. You will build the skills to design, develop, and evaluate computing systems, and you will develop the problem-solving mindset that defines effective practitioners in the field. Arden's blended learning approach combines timetabled teaching on campus with independent study supported by an online learning environment, giving you flexibility in how and when you engage with course materials while maintaining the structure of a full-time programme.
