About this course

Computing science and mathematics is a combination that reflects the deep relationship between the two disciplines. Mathematics provides the theoretical foundations on which computing is built: logic, algorithms, data structures, probability and linear algebra all have their roots in mathematical thinking. Computing science, in turn, provides a context in which mathematical ideas find powerful application, from machine learning and cryptography to software engineering and computational modelling.
