Criminology
Criminology is the scientific study of crime, examining why people commit offences, how society defines and responds to deviant behaviour, how the criminal justice system operates and what can be done to reduce harm and support those affected. At the University of Hull you will study this three-year full-time programme, developing a thorough understanding of crime theories, the criminal justice system, victimology, policing, penology and the social contexts that shape offending and criminal justice responses.
