Early Childhood and Global Philosophy and Worldviews is an unusual combination that brings together the developmental science and professional practice of early childhood education with a genuinely world-spanning philosophical enquiry. Early childhood studies examines how children from birth to eight develop, learn, and flourish, drawing on psychology, sociology, and education to understand what children need and how those needs can best be met. Global philosophy and worldviews explores the great philosophical traditions of humanity, from African and Chinese philosophy to Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Buddhist, and secular Western thought, asking what different cultures have believed about truth, value, ethics, and what it means to be human.

At Liverpool Hope University, this three-year full-time programme includes a sandwich placement year, a year abroad, and work placements, making it practically and internationally oriented.
