Electrical, electronic and mechatronic engineering is the combined field that covers the generation, transmission, and application of electrical energy, the design of electronic circuits and systems, and mechatronics, the integration of mechanical, electronic, and computing systems in smart machines and automated devices. These disciplines underpin an extraordinary range of modern technologies, from power grids and electric vehicles to smartphones, robots, medical devices, and the sensors and actuators embedded in the physical world around us. As the economy electrifies and automation deepens, engineering professionals with fluency across all three areas are increasingly valuable.

At the University of Manchester, this four-year full-time integrated master's programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities.
