At the University of Dundee you will study this four-year full-time programme, gaining insights into the historical, critical and cultural contexts of writing from the early modern period to the present day. The four-year structure allows for greater depth and range than a three-year degree, and the programme includes a year abroad, which gives you the opportunity to study in a different literary and cultural environment, deepening both your knowledge and your perspective. Across the degree you will develop skills in close reading, research, critical analysis, and writing, building the kind of sustained intellectual engagement with texts that is at the heart of English studies.
