English/NI Law with French

Law with French is a degree that develops legal expertise within an explicitly international and linguistic framework, recognising that law, commerce, and public life are increasingly conducted across national and linguistic boundaries. English law, and Northern Irish law as a closely related jurisdiction, is one of the most widely used legal systems in the world in international commercial contexts, while French is one of the primary languages of European and international institutions. At the University of Dundee, this three-year full-time programme covers the core areas of English and Northern Irish law, including contract, tort, property law, constitutional and administrative law, and criminal law, alongside systematic study of French language to a high level of competence. A year abroad is built into the programme, giving you the opportunity to study in a French-speaking jurisdiction or a French university, deepening both your linguistic fluency and your comparative legal understanding.
