Equine Performance Science

Equine performance science applies the principles of exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and sports science to horses, asking how equine athletes can perform at their best and how their health and welfare can be protected and promoted. You will study equine anatomy and physiology in depth, developing an understanding of how the horse's musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and metabolic systems respond to training and competition.

Biomechanics introduces the principles of movement analysis, and nutrition science addresses how diet affects performance, recovery, and long-term health.
