Events Management

Events management is the professional discipline responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering gatherings of people for business, cultural, charitable, or celebratory purposes. This four-year full-time programme at the University of Chester includes a foundation year, designed for students who need additional preparation before the main degree. The foundation year develops the academic skills and contextual knowledge needed for degree-level study in business and management, before the core programme introduces you to the full range of events management disciplines. You will study event planning and logistics, financial management, marketing and sponsorship, venue management, health and safety, stakeholder relationships, and the ethical and environmental dimensions of event production.

Chester's location provides access to a range of event venues and professional organisations in the North West, and the programme develops practical skills alongside theoretical understanding.
