Games development is the practice of bringing interactive digital experiences into existence, encompassing the creative, technical, and production processes that produce a finished game. It is a field that rewards people who can think both artistically and technically, who understand how game engines work, how to build and optimise assets, and how to design experiences that genuinely engage players. The games industry is one of the largest creative sectors in the world, and it relies on practitioners with specialist skills in game art, design, and production.

At Ravensbourne University London, this three-year full-time programme develops a professional games portfolio and industry-relevant skills, with opportunities to specialise in game art, technical design, and design and production while gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of tools and technologies across the full game production pipeline. You will work with industry-standard software and platforms, learning how to develop games from concept through to a finished, playable product, and you will build the kind of portfolio that allows you to demonstrate your skills to potential employers. Games development graduates work as game designers, game artists, level designers, technical designers, producers, and in QA and user research roles in games studios of all sizes, from large publishers to independent studios.
