Geography
Geography is one of the most genuinely interdisciplinary subjects available at university level, concerned with the physical processes that shape the Earth's surface and with the human societies and economic systems that occupy and transform it. It asks both scientific and humanistic questions: how do rivers and glaciers work, how do cities grow, why are some places rich and others poor, how does climate change affect different communities, and what can be done about it?
