Geography

Geography is a discipline of unusual breadth, spanning the physical processes that shape the Earth's surface and the human systems that overlay and interact with them. It asks how landscapes are formed, how climate systems work, how rivers and coastlines change over time, how cities grow, why some regions prosper and others decline, and how environmental change intersects with human vulnerability and resilience. The ability to think across the natural-social science divide is one of geography's greatest strengths, and at degree level it produces graduates who can engage with some of the most complex challenges of the present century.

At the University of Chester, this four-year, full-time programme includes a year abroad built into the degree, giving you the opportunity to study geography from a different national and environmental vantage point.
