Geography is the study of the Earth's surface as the site of human living and working, encompassing both the physical processes that shape landscapes, climate, and ecosystems and the human dimensions of how people organise their lives in space, how communities adapt to environmental change, and how global forces interact with local places. At the University of Cumbria, this four-year, full-time programme includes an integrated foundation year that builds the academic and scientific foundations needed before progressing to degree-level geography.
