At Liverpool Hope University this four-year full-time programme includes a foundation year designed for students who have the motivation and ability to succeed at degree level but who are not yet ready for direct entry to the standard three-year programme. The foundation year develops academic writing, critical thinking, and independent learning skills alongside the confidence and study habits needed for higher education. Once you progress to the main degree, you will study topics including health and care policy, safeguarding, diversity and inclusion, mental health, the organisation of care services, and the professional and ethical frameworks within which health and social care practitioners work.

A sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placements integrated throughout the programme ensure that your academic learning is connected to professional experience in real health and care settings.
