History and Philosophy

History and philosophy is one of the most enduringly productive combinations in the humanities. At the University of Leeds, this three-year full-time joint honours programme is flexible, allowing you to develop your own areas of specialism and expertise across the two disciplines and to shape your degree to suit your intellectual interests. You will engage with historical periods and themes alongside philosophical areas that interest you, building a personalised programme that is both broad and genuinely deep. The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities, giving you a rich combination of practical and international experiences.
