International Relations
International relations is the study of how states, international organisations, non-state actors, and other forces interact in the global arena, examining the causes of conflict and cooperation, the dynamics of trade and diplomacy, the politics of international institutions, and the evolving norms and laws that govern relations between countries. At Leeds Beckett University, this three-year full-time programme develops your understanding of international politics, foreign policy, security, international political economy, and global institutions, equipping you to analyse the forces that are reshaping the international order and the possibilities for collective action in response to shared global challenges. You will engage with both theoretical frameworks and empirical case studies, developing the research, analytical, and communication skills that are essential in careers that require a sophisticated understanding of international affairs.
