Law with Foundation Year

This four-year full-time programme at the University of Surrey includes a foundation year, providing an additional year of structured preparation for those who will benefit from a supported transition to degree-level legal study. The Surrey Law School programme prepares graduates for a range of professional and other careers, and you will develop the critical and practical skills that legal employers and other sectors look for in graduates.

Law graduates pursue an exceptionally wide range of careers. Solicitors and barristers in private practice are the most familiar legal routes, and the foundation year does not limit your ability to proceed to professional training.
