Law with Modern Languages is a combination designed for those who want to pursue a career in law while developing real linguistic competence in another European language. At Royal Holloway, University of London, this three-year full-time LLB degree develops your critical understanding of law alongside advanced linguistic proficiency in written and oral German. You will cover the core legal subjects required for a qualifying law degree while also studying German language at a high level and engaging with the cultural, legal, and political context of the German-speaking world. The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and a work placement, giving you the opportunity to spend time in Germany or Austria, to immerse yourself in the language, and to develop the professional experience that international legal employers look for.
