Law graduates can pursue qualification as solicitors through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination or as barristers through the Bar Professional Training Course, and a qualifying law degree is the academic foundation for both routes. Many law graduates also work in legal advice, compliance, human resources, local government, the civil service, and a wide range of business and professional roles in which legal knowledge and analytical rigour are valued. Many continue to postgraduate study in specialist areas of law.
