About this course

Discover how economics is used to analyse organisations & industry. Develop analytical skills for business & policy, with an optional placement or year abroad. The BSc Management Economics is a three-year undergraduate degree, or four years with an optional placement or study abroad year.

You’ll develop an analytical foundation in economics and apply it to the study of organisations, industries, and markets. The course focuses on using economic analysis and evidence to examine organisational behaviour and decision-making. The BSc Management Economics degree is for students who want to use economic analysis, data, and models to understand how firms and organisations operate and how decisions are made within markets.

You’ll learn how economics is used to study organisational behaviour, industry structures, and management decision-making. The degree places a strong emphasis on analytical and quantitative thinking, including analysing data, working with economic models, and interpreting evidence. You’ll examine how firms allocate resources, respond to regulation, and interact with consumers, competitors, and regulators, using economic frameworks, data, and evidence.

You’ll study areas such as competition, pricing, incentives, organisational structure, and how business decisions affect markets and the wider economy.
