Mathematics
Mathematics is the language of structure, pattern, and reasoning, and a degree in it develops a distinctive kind of intellectual rigour that is valued across an exceptionally wide range of careers and further studies. At the University of the West of Scotland this four-year full-time programme develops your mathematical ability across a range of core and specialist topics, building from foundational work in algebra, calculus, and statistics through to more advanced content in the later years of the degree. You will develop both the abstract reasoning skills that mathematics demands and the computational and applied methods that connect mathematical thinking to real-world problems in science, engineering, finance, and data analysis. Mathematics graduates work in an exceptionally broad range of sectors.
