About this course

This four-year full-time programme at the University of East Anglia includes a foundation year, giving you a supported entry point into higher-level mathematical study. The foundation year is designed to build the confidence and background knowledge you need before progressing to degree-level content, making the programme well suited to those who have the aptitude for mathematics but whose prior qualifications or circumstances mean they would benefit from this additional preparation. From there, you will move through the core areas of pure and applied mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, analysis, probability, and statistics, before engaging with more specialised topics such as differential equations, number theory, mathematical modelling, and numerical methods.
