About this course

Mathematics with finance is a combination that reflects the central role of mathematical thinking in financial markets, risk management, and economic analysis. Finance is one of the fields where mathematical rigour is most directly valuable, from the modelling of asset prices and the pricing of derivatives to the statistical analysis of economic data and the optimisation of investment portfolios. Studying the two together gives you a deeper understanding of both.

At the University of Chester this three-year full-time programme combines core mathematical training with a substantial finance element, covering the theory and practice of financial markets, corporate finance, investment analysis, and quantitative methods in finance.
