About this course

Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering is a multidisciplinary field at the intersection of mechanical engineering, electronics, computing, and control systems. It emerged from the recognition that modern technological systems, from industrial robots and autonomous vehicles to medical devices and consumer electronics, require engineers who can think across traditional disciplinary boundaries and design systems in which mechanical, electrical, and software components work together seamlessly. Robotics is one of the most rapidly growing applications of mechatronics, encompassing everything from industrial automation and collaborative robots to surgical systems and autonomous drones.

At Anglia Ruskin University, this four-year, full-time degree develops the engineering knowledge and practical skills needed to work in this demanding and fast-moving field. You will study manufacturing, 3D printing, thermodynamics, dynamics, and structural analysis alongside computer-based advanced design, simulation, and modelling.
