Media production is the craft and practice of creating content for film, television, radio, podcasting, online platforms, and digital media. It encompasses the full range of roles involved in bringing a production from concept to audience: writing, directing, producing, shooting, editing, sound recording and design, and the logistical and project management work that makes complex productions possible. The field is changing rapidly as digital platforms have proliferated and the boundaries between broadcast, online, and immersive media have become productively blurred.

At Brighton you will study this three-year full-time programme, developing the practical creative skills and production knowledge needed for careers across the breadth of media production. You will work as a director, producer, scriptwriter, and media researcher across different formats and platforms, building a portfolio that demonstrates your range. The programme includes a sandwich year and a work placement, giving you professional industry experience alongside your academic and practical development.
