Graduation marks the beginning of a career that spans foundation training, core specialty training and ultimately consultant or GP practice across the full breadth of clinical medicine, surgery, psychiatry, paediatrics, anaesthetics, and many more fields. Some graduates move into medical research, healthcare leadership, public health, global health or academic medicine. Others combine clinical practice with medical education or policy work.
