Multimedia journalism is journalism for the age in which news, analysis, and documentary content are consumed across text, audio, video, and social platforms simultaneously. At Glasgow Caledonian University, this four-year full-time programme is the only undergraduate journalism degree in Scotland, and one of a small number in the UK accredited by both the National Council for the Training of Journalists and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council. Dual accreditation of this kind is genuinely significant: it means the programme meets the professional standards of both print and digital journalism and broadcast journalism, and graduates are eligible for membership of the relevant professional organisations in either field.
