Music Production

Music production is the discipline of shaping sound into finished music, encompassing recording, arrangement, sound design, mixing, mastering, and the creative and technical decisions that turn ideas into tracks. It is a field that has been transformed by digital technology, making professional-quality production accessible from a laptop while also creating new complexity and new creative possibilities across every genre from pop and electronic music to hip-hop, film scoring, and experimental composition. At Liverpool Hope University this four-year, full-time programme with foundation year allows you to develop the creative, technical, and theoretical dimensions of music production in a city that has been central to global popular music for decades.
