Philosophy and modern languages is a combination that develops two of the most rigorous intellectual disciplines alongside one another. At the University of Exeter, this three-year full-time programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities, giving you the chance to develop your language skills through immersion and your philosophical understanding in an international context. You will study core areas of philosophy including ethics, epistemology, political philosophy, and the philosophy of language, alongside the literature, culture, and linguistic study of your chosen modern language.
