Philosophy is one of the oldest and most enduring intellectual disciplines, concerned with the fundamental questions that underpin all other forms of inquiry: what can we know and how can we know it, how should we act and why, what is the nature of reality and of mind, and how does language relate to thought? At Manchester Metropolitan University, this three-year, full-time degree is designed not only to teach you to critically engage with the world's rich philosophical history but to empower you to become an independent, persuasive, and influential thinker. You will develop the capacity to engage with new perspectives, communicate effectively across different audiences, and apply philosophical analysis to the issues and debates that matter in contemporary life.
