Philosophy

Philosophy is the discipline that asks the most fundamental questions about knowledge, reality, morality, and the good life, and does so with the tools of rigorous argument and conceptual analysis. It is not a body of established facts but a tradition of inquiry, and studying it means learning to read carefully, to distinguish good arguments from bad ones, to identify assumptions and question them, and to construct and defend positions with precision.
