Physical Geography and Geology

At the University of Leicester, this three-year, full-time degree is designed for students with a broad interest in Earth science and the environment who want to study at the boundary between the two disciplines. You will develop skills in field observation and mapping, laboratory analysis, remote sensing, geographical information systems, and quantitative data analysis, building a toolkit that is relevant to both academic research and professional practice. The programme includes a sandwich placement year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities, giving you substantial professional and international experience alongside your academic studies.
