About this course

Physics is the science of matter, energy and the fundamental laws that govern the universe, from the behaviour of subatomic particles to the structure of galaxies. Studying physics at degree level means developing the capacity to think rigorously about physical systems, to construct and evaluate mathematical models, and to move between theoretical reasoning and experimental observation.

At Nottingham Trent University, this three-year full-time programme takes you through the core areas of the discipline, including classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum physics and special relativity, as well as more specialist and contemporary topics as you progress.
