About this course

Physics is the most fundamental of the natural sciences, seeking to understand the laws that govern matter, energy, space, and time. From the behaviour of subatomic particles to the structure of the universe on cosmological scales, physics pursues deep questions with extraordinary precision, using mathematics as its primary language and experiment as its essential test. The discipline underpins most of modern technology, from semiconductors and medical imaging to satellite navigation and renewable energy, and a physics degree develops problem-solving and quantitative reasoning skills that are valued far beyond academia.

At the University of East Anglia, you will study physics across its major domains, including classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and modern physics.
